Cramp bark is a herb that does exactly as the name suggests, prevents cramping. In this way it is antispasmodic to smooth and skeletal muscles. Cramp bark is also astringing and sedating with positive effects on the CNS. It is analgesic, anodyne, anti-asthmatic.

Named after its antispasmodic properties, it is particularly indicated for spams occurring in the gastrointestinal tract, womb, back and bladder as well as skeletal muscles. Cramp Bark is also indicated for COPD in horses, calming anxious animals or those with nerve damage.
